Waved at a red 2up Mutley heading south on A11 yesterday (Sunday) at 17:27 hrs. I was heading north on my red Mutley with high viz bib thing on.
Goodwood Sun, parked next to us multi, diavel, 1098 and street fighter with a guzzi in between. Didn't say hello..
pikes peak heading north through Ockley on Sunday, around midday. I was heading south and turning towards Forest Green leading a bunch of other bikes, and a grey 1200S GT at the back of the pack.
Silver one going opposite way in Whitchurch Bristol today (11/06). I was on the white waiting at the lights, seen you looking LOL
Spotted today in B&Q stockport. I was the nutter trying to show my wife the lack of "chicken strips" ( I really don't like that expression). I didn't realise the owner was stood behind us! Was going to say hello but you rode off just as we were leaving. Like the carbon bits.... And the lack of tread on the rear tyre!
Red 1200S (Ohlins) two up on the B3227 heading toward Taunton, on Monday 23rd June, about 2pm. I could be wrong about the model and colour as it was all a quick on a twisty bit of road. I was going the other way enjoying the good weather and a great road.
Spotted one in chunnel today. Would've said hello but was shattered and too 'zoned' for conversation.
bootsam, what sort of time, and what colour ? My local bike club had its annual French Trip this weekend, so there were potentially about a dozen bikes heading for home on various crossings
@John W was a multi 1200s in that grey, whitey red scheme with red wheels lol. i was on the 3.20 french time return. whoever it was had a very worn front tyre. I was on my 1198, white and absolutely fucked after a 400 mile dash from Langres at 100mph + till calais.
Lmao, you should have said hi. We had just done from l'aigle in Normandy. So fewer miles than you but still 3 figures all the way, and no motorways or nationals Yeah I gave the tyres a bit of a pasting. New rear pr4 is nearly at the wear markers after ~2k3 miles. It was fun though
Lol. Was dreaming of my bed. Its been hard riding since wednesday. I was pretty shot. Grunting was about my limit. Plus I really needed a cup of tea. Pretty much 4-500miles per day. That front was fooked.
So come join the club bradders WVAM.org.uk This is my 4th trip this year, and there is something going on every weekend. Bootsam, it looked quite respectable when I left home... Carrying lots of corner speed fully loaded tends to push the front a bit, and I am quite happy to go in hot too The back gets worn out by the throttle, and that's nackered too now. Lots of feathering of the tread blocks. I don't see it lasting any longer than a pr3 would. Your bike sounded awesome by the way. I still fancy one at some point. Probably an sp for the bigger tank though lol
I got 26.6 miles on reserve on one day. Panic!! Just make sure you brim it in France. It should sound better once i fit the 70mm headers and mid. The 1198 is one hell of a great bike. Buy one. She despatched the Jura's with aplomb. My stock OEM suspension works really well. Great bikes.
Another one spotted today - Red one, going the opposite direction to me just by Hengrove area in Bristol
As John says get down to WVAM, they're a good club, I'm busy most weekends for the foreseeable future but there's always something going on, ps won't be spotted on my Multi anymore as I defected to a new ZZR1400
Likewise recommended - having moved to the other end of the country, I sorely miss WVAM - great bunch.
