Went to see a premier of a new film called Art of Rap which was followed by live performances by Melle Mel, Chuck D (of Public Enemy), Ice T, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah (of Wu Tang Clan). I know this won't mean anything to 99% of you but it was quite a big deal for me.
Thanks guys, I am really feeling the love right now, a bit of a mixture of the congrats messages and the celebration dinner down the pub. Cannot believe I have actually done it, and with only 2 minors as well, just think I could get 15 and still pass, do I sound excited? I am!
Well after spending 6 hours fitting a full set of new fairings to my sons CBR 600 RR I got home to find a nice parcel waiting for me, didn't expect it until early next week, unwrapped it still excited to find my new carbon air box for the 748, now that's a result. Must get it fitted for the Italian day at CMC Clay Cross next weekend. Steve
busy day so far: Monster has been cleaned thoroughly - chain is spotless. I can even read DID for the first time. The KTM is semi-clean but the mouldy old bolts are looking better. Power washer tomorrow. Changed the lower tailgate stays on the Range Rover - one had broken. They were the rustiest things I've ever owned yet they came out very easily, except for one bolt, which was so rusty it rounded off. Cue Whitworth socket and a hammer : ) The threads in the tailgate and body were immaculate - like they'd just come out of the factory. Bizarre. Cleaning up my old garage soon, then the TdF highlights tonight, followed by a curry and a couple of beers. Excellent! Tomorrow, I'm cycling with my buddies, then it's the GrandPrix followed by the final stage of the TdF. Go Bradley! And Froome. Oh, and Monday, I'm booking a trackday! Can't remember which one, but I'm sure the Track Police will be a long to help.
I'm cream crackered:frown: Had a real hard day's work yesterday installing a new aircon system in a server room, 10 hours solid graft with only a short break for a cuppa in between. I've woke up this morning dehydrated and wracked with cramp. I'm definitely getting too old for this caper. Lager's okay for rehydrating, isn't it..?
