  1. I've seen a set or two of these "gubbins" around for sale recently and was interested in trying some out, but due to not being around at the right time whilst watching some on 'flea-bay' missed out!
Has anyone got a set they are looking to move on, more than likely due to the fact they have opted for the rolling road/balancing method and don't need them?

I realise they are pretty expensive as they come from the good ole US of A, but I am prepared to pay a reasonable price for a set in good condition, so if anyone has some and wants to haggle, them I'm your man.

Give me a shout, be pleasant please!

  4. :Dead: "WTD".......
The only possible use anyone could have for this one is coating it in orange sauce and that wouldn't be me coz I'm a veggie:Wtf:

  5. Chris, how old my friend (no not you the ducs) and how long have you had them and bought new or s/h?
I know loads of questions and you only had one!

  6. I bought em sh off this forum and used for 8 month, they are electronic so don't think there is a problem with amount of use ( I could be wrong) but they ere still working fine and a big improvement to low speed /revs running. I haven't advertised them yet but will be doing shortly.

  7. They're just a sticking plaster solution IMO. I'd spend my money on getting a decat. pipe and can. Getting rid of the cat and the exhaust valve improves running no end.

  8. :upyeah: Majvs I think I concur with your view and will probably head for the decat' pipe option, as I already have an Akra end can and the sodding exhaust flap valve is a total nightmare.
Sorry Chris, good luck with selling the FD's on.
Cheers for your reply and interest.

  9. What are they ? Do you need to wait until the warranty has expired before removing the Cat ?

  10. This thread has become all about animals somehow

  11. :Bookworm: Fatducs are an electronic in-line modification (O2 manipulators) that makes alterations to the Mutli's fueling, by altering the voltage in the oxygen sensor, which forces the ECU to add in additional fuel. Fueling can be pretty erratic at lower revs and these devices make alterations that smooth out the profile, making the bike easier to respond to the throttle. They are manufactured and supplied by a company from the states called Performance Boulevard (website: www.fatduc.com)
That's a very simple explanation for what is a rather more complicated problem, one well beyond my level of comprehension, but one very well known to the pre-skyhook Mutli's, which I believe may well have resolved this problem, although I don't know categorically.

As suggested by Majvs, something of a potential 'sticking-plaster' and better sorted using a decat' pipe.
I do also believe that removing the decat' pipe will probably invalidate the Ducati warranty, so get some direct advice from your dealer before doing this.

    Hopefully of some limited help.
    :upyeah:
