heard a few reports of owners gutting original silencers to make a cheap Termi alternative,then heard there may be a thread somewhere showing what to do and how to do it Is this a workable idea,has any done it and any ideas about the thread Thanks
For the work involved doing it, I wouldn't bother. There is a steep angle from the inlet to the outlet where any link perf pipe would be close to the case of the exhaust. Making it difficult to get sufficient packing around it. If you want to do it I have a gutted can you can have FOC, just pay shipping.

The former. Do you have access to a good welder who does stainless TIG? You are more than welcome to the can plus the perf tube. Also, you will need to remove the cat from the front pipe or buy a decat one.
