  2. What size are the standard pipes?

  3. My Yellow 998 overtakes all the red Ducati's with ease, mind you, so does my yellow 1975 Kawasaki

  4. I think the standard pipes are 54mm?

  5. I think the factory mono 749/999's look much better than the bip's,they seem to accentuate the long low café racer look of the bike,ab fab......its the only bike I've ever had that I can go into my garage just to look at...for ages:cool: ...and I've had a few over the years.

Did I mention that yellow ones look best.....

  6. Another quick question is the 2005 999s still the shallow sump with old swinger?
    Cheers

  7. 05/06 should have the deep sump and later swingarm? You can't go by the reg plate though as an 04 bike might have not been registered until 05?

  8. The early ones had the deep sump motor too.

  9. As far as I am aware, all 999S' have the deep sump regardless of year. They were all meant to, that's for certain.

  10. I stand corrected :)

    Cheers fellas.

  11. Cheers so that would mean an s system would sit too low on my bike?

  12. ,
Not sure what you mean by 's system'...if you mean the exhaust system, then as far as I am aware its the same for base and 's' models...I'm sure someone on here will tell me if I'm wrong...the main difference between the early base and 's' models is the deep sump and full Ohlins kit on the 's' and a power hike to @136bhp.

The base model got the deep sump motor from 2005,together with a red frame, slightly different bodywork and different swinger.

  13. Yea I mean the s model as there is an exhaust system on eBay of a 999. Thanks
