  1. Hi
Fitted some aftermarket levers all seems to be functioning ok
Went on test ride and quick shifter played up until it just stopped altogether.
Changes with clutch fine any ideas?

  3. Did you take out the little screw from the clutch original leaver that sits against quick shifter plate? I had this problem when fitting aftermarket leavers to my bmw s1000r?

If not it's simple to yet you'll need a very small torex tool.

  4. Why would changing levers have anything to do with your quickshifter?

  5. The plate has to be connected to the leaver so it you can either change manually or through the QS. it's a tiny screw that touches the plate so the QS knows.

Well, that's how it worked on the BMW.

I'll go check my bike and be back to you in a mo,,,,

  6. Ah ok so it's slightly different on the 848. Yet there is an extended pin that connects to the QS plate when the clutch is pulled in fully. [IMG]

Has your new leaver got the small pin in it? Otherwise I'd expect it will affect the QS.

I could be wrong as I'm not a technician yet that was the problem I had on the BMW.

Butting out now in shame if not...:-(

  8. Yes that was problem i got the pin wrong side of little tag so it was making contact all the time to little switch so quickshifter thought i was uesing clutch.
    Sorted now thanks for reply

  10. Ahh I see, totally different set up to the three systems I've had on my bikes (which were all after market).
