Hey there, I have recently acquired a spanking new 848evo. I am new to Ducati, four strokes and superbikes. I foresee a steep yet exciting learning curve and am looking forward to the advice and support of some of the Ducati veterans on this forum. I am right now suffering the run in period and shall endevour to hit the 600 miles mark for the first service in the next couple of months. Any members in central London? cheers Ankz
Hi bud, good to have another member from Central London. I'm in the loony left wing luvvie borough of Islington. Whereabouts are you? (don't be to specific).
Welcome Ankz and..... COUPLE OF MONTHS!!! 600 miles is a weekend jaunt. Have a word with Douglas, he's have that 600 miles knocked out in a morning!
Hello and welcome to the rider from Islington, which I go through twice a day for work. Im a North London man myself, so if you see a rider on a green ZX7 give you a little nod (the Ducati doesnt do Central London :biggrin it could be me
Welcome! I live in Westminster..mostly I commute on the Honda Bros Hope you complete the run-in period a lot quicker than that. I once ran a bike in in two weeks.
Welcome! I'm in W.London, but regularly commute into the City. A few of us are heading out on Sunday for a long ride up to Oxfordshire then to the Cotswolds if you'd like to join us? Quite a few MVs and Ducatis. Cheers -
I think the plan is to leave London around 9 or thereabouts, and I think we will be collecting a few others along the way. I've sent you a PM with my details if you'd like to come along
Am I right in thinking, looking at your Avatar, you're a Ghost Rider fan (the marvel character - not the chump in those stunt vids)
Spareparts - I would have loved to join the gang. Unfortunately - I was hosting a guest from out of town this weekend. Will be happy to jump in on any such rides in the future. Matt - yeah - I am fond of comic books and super heroes. Ghost Rider seemed apt as an avatar on a biking forum. I have seen the Ghostrider videos - and no, I don't fancy stunting on crowded city roads
No problem. We had a great turn out - 6 MVs, 5 Ducatis plus others. Did 300 miles in total yesterday mostly along a selection of fast/flowing A and some B roads - it was an epic rideout in perfect weather! Rendezvous at BikersWorld, then onto lunch at Churchill.
Some lovely looking bikes there. Gutted a feeble DIY injury kept me away, next time. Where is that pub?
