Louis Suarez And Liverpool

  1. What a fantastic bit of business Liverpool have done in selling Suarez for 75 million. Yes he is a great footballer but if I owned a football club like Liverpool with all the history I would not want him setting foot inside my ground again.
You can talk about his ability but his character/mentality is flawed and he will do it again. I applaud Liverpool for what they have done. Problem is I live in Bristol so many will say "what's he know about football" , fair comment.

  2. I was under the impression that Suarez was currently banned from "football-related activities".

Surely being transferred from one football club to another is a football-related activity?

Come on FIFA! Ban him for life for flaunting your authority!

    :upyeah:

  3. I agree, but I think LFC have been lucky, it could have easily turned sour and lost them money.

  4. The guy is a liability. And congrats to LFC for getting £75m for the loony.

  5. It was all planned from the start :)

  6. He was just misunderstood. They only needed to feed him before the game and then a light snack at half time; Problem solved.

  7. I'll miss the mad bugger. £75M is cheap. Footballing genius. Mad as a bag of frogs. But what talent. He will eclipse Messi at Barca. His drive and determination fuels his aggression and maketh the man. Off the field he's a quiet family man. On it, the best footballer we have had play in the EPL. So far. At the very least he's entertaining.

  8. Excluding Ronaldo obviously.

  9. That oily narcissist can get tae fuck. I'd put Giggs ahead of him and that welsh twat can get tea fuck as well. :p

  10. Oh Cmon, Suarez is a good footballer but Messi he aint, never will be that good.

  11. He's only 27. Just about to reach his peak. I think he has a chance.

  12. Still a chance for Andy Carroll then ?:)

  13. He's one for the future :)

  14. So you're saying he has cut his teeth at LFC, and is about to get incisive at Barca?

They'll deify him, what chance contrition and proper treatment? Not in a molarllion years.....

  15. meh. just a wee nibble getting far too much attention. yeah you shouldn't go around biting people but if you look at the actual harm done rather then the method used it is absolutely f*** all

Loss for premier league, massive loss for Liverpool. Back to no hope for them.

Not really bothered either way though, just my take on the situation

  16. @fred11 it may have escaped your attention that LFC did rather well during the spells he was suspended. I suspect you may be letting whatever misplaced allegiance you may have get the better off you. Which is to be expected when the team you support is shite. :p

  17. so why not sell him earlier then? if he was suspended multiple times....

  18. Because no-one but those fuckwits Arsenal bid. They thought they'd be clever and bid 40m+£1. They failed because wenger is a dick. Besides we would not sell to an EPL team. They misunderstood a clause and tried to look clever. Instead they became a laughing stock. Much like any of their teams from Jan onwards.

  19. so LFC performed better when LS was suspended, but they could not sell him to any other football team in the world , no one else wanted to buy him- AFC were the only team that bid.

If AFC are not clever here, are you saying LFC were clever....?

  20. I like the use of "we" as a term used in football. As if they have some direct connection in the club, like a player or boardroom staff.
