New Product Needing Feedback From Owners

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Infinite Performance, Jul 14, 2014.

  1. I have just finished the prototype radiator guard for the Panigale. Its made from stainless steel which is then powder coated in satin black. We use stainless as aluminium corrodes under the powder coating should it get stone chipped but stainless doesn't.It mounts on the original mounting points so there is no cutting or cable ties. I just thought I would put it out there for a week or two before making the first batch. RRP is likely to be £89.99 inc VAT for both upper and lower guards.
Let me know what you think. radiator ducati panigale.JPG radiator ducati panigale 1.JPG

  2. Looks like a stoneguard full of holes. o_O

  3. Alright Roy?

  4. Are you giving out free samples to get owner feedback?
As they need to be used to get apraised.
Prob got down vote due to no intro and straight to selling wares.

  5. Legitimate company expanding an already good stock of carbon stuff trying to gauge customer appeal. If not here, where ? Wonder if the spammers have cottoned on to the down vote. Andy

  6. Exactly..... but also because one of the ways this and many similar sites generates income is by selling advertising space.........why should this guy get it for free?

  7. Hi
Sorry for any offence but I put it on here to see what you guys thought. It's not an advert as it's not even in production yet. You can't buy one if you wanted to until it goes into full production. I just thought it would be good to see what customers thought before making it available. If you don't want to see what we are working on in future let me know. I didn't realise it was so offensive to ask for genuine feedback from owners.
    Regards
    Chris

  8. Wouldn't buy it as it says "panigale" which IMO looks cheap.
Shape of the bike and the sticker on the fairing already let's people know what it is.

Unless of course it's so you can identify it in your warehouse in amongst other stock?

  9. Send me one out, I'll give it a proper test for you and give some feedback.

    Deal? ;-)

  10. Hi
Thanks for the kind offer but as I said its a prototype (the only one) and it's already fitted to a bike to evaluate its fit and effectiveness. What we need is your opinion on is the looks , pricing etc

  12. holes are a little large and it says panigale.

  13. Hi Chris,

    as others have said,

The fact it says Panigale cheapens the look somewhat so I'd get rid of that,

also if your price point is the same as Evotech & R&G you're likely to struggle as they are 'go to brands'

It's looks well manufactured so I wouldn't think quality is a problem, personally I'd under cut the competition a bit and see how you go.

  14. Well it may not be the done thing to say so but I think it looks damn good. If its not on sale yet, canvassing opinion is hardly unfairly disadvantaging paying advertisers. I'd have a set - if I had a Panigale. The honeycomb venting looks nicer than woven mesh or round drillings which can both hamper airflow and cooling. I'm inclined to agree about the "Panigale" motif. A simple maker's logo might be better. The embossed "EP" on Evotech's guards, I think is a classy touch. I'm very much in favour of proper fixing brackets though. If it was on general sale I'd buy it over the alternatives for that reason alone. Shoving cable ties through the matrix is a terrible idea that screams bodgery and underdevelopment. I'd happily pay for the durability of the stainless as well.
Price wise, £90 the pair is £30 cheaper than Evotech's Panigale set and for the Streetfighter you're looking at £110 the pair from Evotech. If a set was made like these for the SF at that kind of price, I'd buy one immediately. Gets the provisional thumbs up from me.

  18. Please could you make one to fit a 1098 that says 'Panigale', so I can fool people into thinking I have the latest greatest ;)
