Just got back from France with my push bike. Atlantic Ocean to the Med over the top of the Pyrenees. 740km, 12,500 meters of climbing, 98 hours. Absolutely buggered. Sore arse, sore legs, but very satisfied. How do those blokes on the Tour de france do it for a month???
So, how does one speak to a human at the tax office..? I registered for self-assessment online a few weeks ago and I've been waiting for a Unique Tax Reference ever since, tried ringing about ten times and I'm just put on hold
Easy, you book a home visit. You just ring them up and give them your Unique Tax Reference and ... ah ... yeah. Hmm.
Finally figured how to work the wifi in the hotel. Nice steady 3 days down to Cattollica although was in one of the worst rainstorms I have ever rode in between Bologna and Rimini yesterday. Actually thought about pulling over as the brakes were crap n the Italians brake just for a laugh. Anyways sitting on the balcony of the hotel looking at Cattollica harbour or marina, whatever it's called these days, used to be docks when I lived up north! Ciao
Oh that's where you are , how's the digging going ? Did some plane spotting from my desk They look much closer only using my iphone[/IMG]
My Lexus wafted serenely through its mot today-173,000 miles and still an impressive car-3litre straight six. Ample power........
Had a nice ride tonight which was slightly marred when I noticed that my rear brake reservoir had lost its lid at some point. Which is weird. Hope the dealer has one spare tomorrow as I want to pay a call on Loomies tomorrow evening. As it is, I'll have to drive the car in to work tomorrow, I hate having to do that.
The brake that stops the rear wheel. The reservoir that holds the reserve of brake fluid. The lid that seals the top of the reservoir. Are you less confused now?
