1200 Diy Service Reminder Resets, Mileage Adjustment And More

  1. From another enterprising Aussie (Wit aka 'wcieslik')....

    Android App: MultiTool Lite 1.0
I have made a 'Lite' version that only does the resets and the Odo winding.
Does not need a TuneBoy ECU.
It's available for download from the google play store ...
    Google Play

You need to become a Beta test user to be able to download it.

Documentation is at Multistrada 1200 MultiToolLite 1.0

    Cool or what!? :D

Only trouble is (for me), no Androids in my house! :Banghead:
...anyone any experience of Android emulators for Windows?.........just started researching and there's a fair few out there, BlueStacks looks fave but any input/advice from anyone with experience of any of these programs would be welcomed. Thnx.

  2. @Rob .....just come across a quirk in the forum software - this thread's title 'DIY' shows as 'Diy'....some sort of auto-correct or something!

  3. Hi, I have tried to find this on my android device and have had no luck. Do you have any instructions as to how become a beta tester? What is it called, nothing comes up under multitool lite.

    Thanks

  4. Hi Mike, there seems to be an issue with Google Play.......I've emailed Wit and will get back to you asap.

  5. Let me know when it becomes available too.
It would also be useful to have the details on making the hardware connections too.

I could probably source the OBD and Delphi connectors somewhere but what are pin connections?

  6. Derek

    Here's how I built mine

OBD lead off ebay 16 pin OBD II OBD2 Female to Female Extension Cable Adapter Car Vehicle Hot Sell | eBay

    Allows you to build two.

Sicma miniseal connectors plus pins from RS Components Buy PCB Connector Housings 4w Sicma Miniseal Male Black 1.5mm Delphi 211PL042S0011 online from RS for next day delivery.

The pin outs for the OBD connector are (colours may vary slightly)

    PIN WIRE FUNCTION
    1 Black
    2 Brown
    3 Red
    4 Orange Negative
    5 Yellow Negative
    6 Dark Green CAN High
    7 Blue
    8 Purple
    9 Grey
    10 White
    11 Pink
    12 Light Green
    13 Black/White
    14 Brown/White CAN Low
    15 Red/White
    16 Green/White Positive 12v

Check continuity from OBD adaptor to wire to confirm with a meter

PINs 4&5 are joined together, giving 4 wires to go to the Sicma connector

Connect the OBD to the Sicma as in the picture (download)

  7. Thanks Chris. I'll follow that up. :upyeah:

  8. According to Wit's comprehensive 'manual' you just need to buy a BlueTooth or Android Compatible WiFi ELM327 (£10 or so)........I presume using a USB version would be no issue either?

  9. You then need to interface the 16 pin OBD connector to the 4 pin diagnostic port on the bike. As there are no commercially available adapters, you have to build it.

  10. I've got all the components if you want me to build you one.

  11. I'd have no problem building one myself Chris, but since RS only sell the Delphi Sicma connector in a minimum of 5 for £25 and I only need one there's no harm in asking. How much?

  12. I'm not in this to make money. How does £10 posted to you sound.

  13. Could you make me one also? :Shy:

I see, that's a rather major omission from Wit's instructions!......maybe covered in the rather lengthy discussions on the US forum.

  14. Sounds good to Chris. I'll PM you when I get back to the c
    PM sent

  15. Would you be able to do me one too? I'd love to be able to right the mileage on my dash after having had it replaced.
    Cheers
    Nick

  16. Hi Andy, is the link broken? I can't reach the play store...

  17. Yes.....I've emailed Wit and waiting on his reply ;-)

  18. Thank you Andy :upyeah:

  19. Unfortunately I only have two Sicma connectors and two OBD connectors to hand at the moment.

Maybe the guys can loan you one once I've built them.

  20. Sharing, now there's a good idea...
