So today was my skydive day. It was purchased for me by my lovely girlfriend for my 30th birthday next month. What can I say, it was an amazing experience . Now what's this got to do with a 1199. Well we got diverted on our way home , so took a detour via Sheffield. This ending in me now being a proud owner of a new 1199 abs in red. So I've dealt up, and collected all in one day which was a bit of a rush but it's now sat in my garage and I'm happy as larry. Just need to run it in, and get some miles on it .
In the middle of all that I had to drop my 848 at another dealer too. Never expected for today to turn out the way it has. Best part is that I'm off tomorrow with no plans so I can go out all day if I want
I remember turning 30..... Nothing like that happened... you are a very lucky man!! Nice bike, Lovely girl (pics please) and you didn't plummet to your death!!!! Happy days!
For my 30th I went to a restaurant in the afternoon and fell asleep at home for the rest of the late afternoon / evening. What's that got to do with bikes? Well, I woke up with a Harley Davison ...................................................................................... Helium Balloon tied to my hand like a child. I'm most jealous that you walked in and out with the bike. i had to wait 3 awful weeks for mine. Enjoy the bike.
Well , it's a completely different bike to the 848. It's far to easy to ride fast which takes away from some of the fun a bit. It turns much better and is stupid quick. Managed 215 miles today.
think you should go out for another blast tonight. run it in fully then look forward to coming back off your hols ready to nail it! bike looks well nice!
can't remember what i got for my 30th. but for my 45 all i got was a shitty, meaningless whatsapp message!
On my 848 I could throw it about and full throttle etc. This bike can do the same speed as the 848 through a corner and feel like I could get off and walk. It's too easy if that makes sense. Kind of like a Nissan GTR against a old school Lamborghini.
