  1. Someone will buy their 1198 and your mate bought a blade. Everyone happy. If he had wanted that bike he would of gone back Monday rather than the other place to get the blade.

Everybody deserves some time off. I think it's great they don't open Sundays as it gives people time with their family. That's more important than selling a pair of leathers and a bike in my opinion.

  2. You don't know my mate we went from a gixxer to 1198 to a ktm and he ended up with the blade, must be nice to walk away for a 9k sale on a Sunday

  3. Sounds like your mate might not of even purchased said bike if he's so undecided on what he wants. Who knows what would of happened. Nobody. Why didn't he return on Monday?

You do realise that the whole £9k isn't profit don't you? It might of cost them a bit of profit that's probably not enough to cover heir overheads , and maybe staff moral is more important to them. Fair play I say. They've taken the decision that it's not worth opening Sundays and they are still in business.

  7. Very rare that I'm in any bike shop these days but when I am it's always a weekend but usually a Saturday. My work are really good, I only have to do 5 days a week and I get to go home in the evenings and everything. ;)

  8. So if you work Sunday and visit them Monday you would have to go and buy a Fireblade :)

  9. Wow I thought I was an impulsive buyer but I'd never think of leaving my house on a Sunday morning with 9k in my pocket and just coming home with a bike, just any bike! The guy must have more money than sense.
I can understand why you might think a dealer should be open on a Sunday but also understand the dealer not wanting to open if they choose not to. For me I find it great that many shops/businesses are open on a Sunday. I work Monday-Friday and like having the option to use those on a Sunday. Having said that I would never choose to work weekends which is one reason I became self employed. For those suggesting it's mean for businesses to make staff work on a Sunday how many of you pop to a cafe on your Sunday rides or watch racing on a Sunday where hundreds of people are working to run the event?
People working on Sunday improves all our lives......but you wouldn't catch me doing it!!!

  10. Thank goodness you're not a Barista @G-man! Who'd make me a medium black and plate up a Raspberry and Almond slice for goodness sake! :D

  11. I'm a farmer and work 7 days a week to put food on your lots table - on your days off work. Rest is for the weak! lol!;)

  12. could you not do it a bit cheaper. ;)

  13. If you want it any cheaper you'll have to come and suck it out of the cow yourself! :D

  14. If a customer can be that fickle, as a dealer, I would be glad he went somewhere else.

Sounds to me he would be a right PITA.

  15. I love having days off in the week no one at home the roads aren't full of sunday rides track days at oulton park go fishing

  16. I work offshore I'm 2 on 2 off,

Do a lot of internet shopping instead ;)

  17. I cant believe anyone would want bike shops open seven days a week,do you have time off ? the graveyards full of people worked their lives away......relax.

  18. In the summer why not it's when they make there money and we get are bikes out to get serviced or P/X for a new one, i work 4 and 2 rolling and have to take my time off when people are back off there summer holidays

  19. It will all depend on whether they think it's worth it overall. If you get just a couple of people mooching about every Sunday then it's hardly worth staffing a store, not to mention all of the additional costs incurred.

Plus if it is your policy to be closed on Sundays your customer base soon realise and work around you.

  20. New customers?
