  9. For the uninitated polishers what is this stuff and where do I get it from?

What sort of polishing heads do you use, are they soft or abrasive?

I tried a bit of wire wool and autosol and it didnt really make any difference.....

    Cheers.

  10. i use a cisel stiched mop that is made from hard cloth and rough string and with the right compound you could get a mirror finish on cast iron right down to a unstiched cotton wheel but the main thing is the motor mine is over 2hp , you can get left and right haded pigtails to fit on a bench grinder thats how i started and its ok for small jobs .
i normaly get my stuff from bike shows but ebay is allso a good place

  11. I have 'em polished on my 1098R Bayliss, 1198S Corse and I'm having them done on my Panigale Tricolore. They look fantastic ! P&H in Crawley sent them off to a bloke who does a super job and they only cost about £150 for the whole system. :upyeah:

  12. Interesting to see that so many of you polish up your pipes :D

Must admit that I've never polished my Ducati pipes, I actually quite like the look of the stock, brassy appearance. Mine never goes near rain so they just have the coloration, no crap on 'em.

Having said that I always polish the pipes on my other bikes(!) I am currently also running a CBF1000 that is my commuter workhorse and that gets a rub with the autosol every now and then.
