Hi Everyone Having hummed and hayed for some time, I eventually made up my mind that I had enough spending money for my holiday next month and that I should do the sensible thing and get a Ducati, I've always wanted one and I might only live once. So last Thursday I set off from my home in the Angus Glens on this which I'd had for 5 years and was beyond doubt the most fun bike I've ever had. I made my way down to Ducati Manchester, having spoken to Sergio at the beginning of the week. 5 and a bit hours later (gawd, the M6 is boring) I arrive into 33 degrees of Mancunian sunshine. Immediately I realise that black leathers, gloves and matte black helmet do not repel the heat, maybe this is the reason I failed my Higher Physics??? Anyway, the papers are signed and the chaps at Ducati Manchester couldn't have been nicer (I always find that salesmen are nice when you buy stuff). So off I pop back up the road, thankfully missing a nasty accident with 2 trucks near Lancashire on the southbound carriageway, one of the longest tail backs I've ever seen. But hey it wasn't me so I don't care lol. 6 hours later and a total of 630 miles in one day, I eventually get home to find that I have to make my own tea and still take the dogs out. Oh, and that I'd bought this... Girlfriend and I plan to go somewhere in Europe next year so the bigger luggage will come in handy. So far I'm very impressed, this may become the best fun bike I've ever had!
Welcome to the Forums! Just a quick note though - after the referendum and the Scots have left the UK, you can no longer call it "Jockland". It has to be called "Land of Those Bastard Jock Splitters". Nice looking bikes. And yes, dog pics please
@Char and @Loz, just for you Muttley, Max and Mitzi And if the unthinkable should happen in September and fat Eck wins, the Shire shall be referred to as 'Land of ye bounders and Cads'
Hi, theres a few of us Superior breed of humans on this forum. Which we inhabit just to keep these english chaps on their toes. Nice mutts, Boxers are ace.
Yeah, there'll be no red arrows doing shows anymore. Just a load of auld boys wi shopping trolleys and fire lighters.
Welcome to the forum Jamie.........you'll love the Mutley and find it ideal for your Euro tour. check out the Multistrada | Ducati Forum Andy facebook.com/UK.MTS1200.Owners ;-)
welcome. You will love it. I also came from the Z1000 to the Mutley. Love it. And you got it in the fastest colour too. I'm doing a euro trip in 2 weeks on mine. Only thing I changed was to the smaller pannier lids for this trip as it's a single rider this time. Have fun on it.
@Char, is this some sort of animal fetish sub-site I've signed up to? Anyway, to keep you happy, here. And these will be the only "pussies" I'll be posting
Good choice of bike Jamie. I'm just down the road from you in Forfar. Where about in the glens are you? Maybe see you about.
