Helooooo. Been Lurking on here for a while. Just received my new Multi S after having a love/hate relationship with KTM. Over the moon with the Red machine at the moment. So if anyone see me commuting through london....... give us a wave Beers on me.
Good you found us all Hein - me and Lucasz would love to meet you - which pub? (after the Olympics though)
I have had KTM's for the last 4 years 1X 690SM 2X 690SMC 1 x 990 ADV and a couple of 450smr's for racing The 690 Beakster was is decent bike, but fugly. Loved the 690SMC's. (Ultimate London commuter in my mind). The 990 was a bit of a disappointment. I bought it for a bit better tank range, but after installing Akras and the R-map I managed on average about 100miles per tank. I am sure that it is great bike if you want to do touring with some off road, but I would rather do off road treks with a decent lighter enduro bike. I also managed to buy a bike that was build on a friday late afternoon by the new apprentice in Austria. Some bits, flaking, falling off and a few electrical problems. Sorry, no tache. Born and raised in South Africa.
Thanks for that Hein. I have a SuperDuke as my everyday ride and an ST4s for touring and long journeys for work and am considering swapping them out for a single bike that could do the job of both - 990 Adventure and SMT are both contenders (as is a Multistrada I hasten to add).
Welcome to the party pal. I'm another SW Londoner with a MTS. Make sure you come along to the next Multi get-together. PP
Welcome aboard .....add your bike model details to your Profile ;-) Look forward to hearing more from you here in the Multistrada section Re Multi get-togethers... http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f6/mts-forum-info-feedback-suggestions-comments-1858/#post26330 ;-) (and make your mark on the Owners Map;-)
