How Do You Justify Owning A Bike ?

  1. A trip to Bond street now and then works fine for me

  2. If you need to find justification then one good idea is to show the bills if you were into four wheels instead of two! The average family hatchback is £25k new and you can buy a Panigale; the ferrari of the bike world for the same price. Motorbikes are soooo cheap compared to running cars, and so much more practical to store and work on yourself.
Here's what I used to spend all my cash building and driving. It was one of the cheapest cars in the championships and only owed me £5 - 10k with me doing the majority of the building and maintaining but week to week it was a damn sight more expensive than running a motorbike.

  3. I don't try to justify it. Same as I don't try to justify my golf clubs, mountain bike, gym in the garage, electric drill. I don't use many of them that often but when I want to I know they're there....

  4. I justify it until I fancy something different..................

  5. I can't think of anything else to spend the money on , got plenty of shoes and two handbags and a house and a car - cat & a dog I couldn't go on holiday if I didn't have a bike I mean how'd I get there?

The other half doesn't complain either  but his is bigger ( you do have to make some compromises)

  6. I used to have cars for my toys, bikes are waaaaay cheaper. House, wife and baby mean expensive toys are no no.

I still miss my old Supra though.

  10. I'm 50 and have that many bikes I can't logistically tax and service them all to have them on the road at the same time, your lucky I guess ;)

  11. Keeps me out of the pub, could spend alot more there with the prices of beer

  12. Doesn't keep me out of the pub

  13. Wot ^ they said.

  14. if i had as many bikes as you, that would be a different situation, have a multi bike policy which allows 4 bikes max to be insured, tax and mot costs arnt too bad, aint too bad with spanners so do a bit of servicing and stuff, feel lucky though, yes ; )

  15. I don't have to justify owning a bike the joys of being single :)
