Ducati Customer Service Help

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Exige, Jul 23, 2014.

  1. I know you have tried this one '[email protected]' but I have had a good response by starting the subject with:

'FAO: Paola - ' and then subject title.

She has been very helpful to-date and even called me with information.

    Worth another go??

  2. If it didn't have one I wouldn't be trying to confirm it's history? Ducati museum director who is normally very helpful with historical research got a little upset and just said 'I don't know why they released this bike' then stopped talking - so trying a different route, doesn't seem to be working though. You appear cynical, I know not why? What's a unicorn if not an early prototype horse that didn't go down well in a stampede with its fellows.

  3. Thanks, I will try, I think maybe they are on holiday for all of August like most of Italy so I thought it best to wait until they are back - less chance of getting lost if they have a backlog of e-mails.

  4. Mailed them again today, missed a call almost immediately and received an e-mail saying the relevant people are indeed on holiday. So, I wait with a little more expectation of an answer!

  5. 3 missed calls from Italy today while I was driving - then an e-mail stating they cannot tell me any of the info I have asked. Think they are on to me, strange she tried to call 3 times, I think she was maybe trying to find out the reason for my questions maybe. The mail also said they had checked their register of Ducati owners and I was not on it. She requests that I send all my Ducati Vin numbers so they can update their register of owners.

Does this seem strange or is it just me being over excitable? :D

  6. Seems like you'll soon be held captive in some strange Italian prison....or their customer service in Italy is better than expected ;)

  7. I said I fully understood there response regarding releasing their prototype VIN's which I had requested but asked as a compromise if I could at least be told the amount of digits in the VIN without disclosing the number or sequence.
Just had a reply - No :Wideyed:
