  1. Hi everyone.

Seems like a great forum. I hope I can contribute.

It's getting up to 50c here, so riding is limited. No rain though! :)

We have some of the best roads I've ever ridden, so if you want a warm holiday spot and great riding, come on over!

  2. how do, where a bout's in the middle east?

  3. Errr. Oman! (It's to the South-East of Dubai)

  4. cool. i have to correct you tho. the best roads are to be found in the west coast of Scotland. :upyeah:

  5. That may be true; haven't had the pleasure. Then again, we don't have mad Scots to contend with, only arabs and camels. :)

  6. Scots arnt mad just misunderstood.

  7. Oban, Oman, it's all the same place.

I gather that drivers in Oman* are a little saner than those in Qatar. I hope that's true!

*Not in Oban though ... bunch of mad bampots that want shooting in Oban.

  8. I'll take my chances with the camels. You know where you are with a camel (preferably not in front) :)

  9. Of course they're misunderstood! They can barely speak English! :upyeah:

  10. The drivers here are "enthusiastic" shall we say. They're Ok if you keep your eyes open and expect them to do the most irrational thing possible.
    It's actually quite entertaining.

  11. Welcome, I have traveled overland from the UK to Qatar, Saudi and Kuwait and Its just to hot in the summer, your welcome to it.
    Steve

  12. We actually ride all through the summer. Sweat is a given, but I work outdoors so being sweaty is a occupational hazard anyway. Mesh Rukkas and a Camelbak keep us going.

  13. Hi and a 'warm' welcome:Depressed:

  14. Evening Arab Dave :)

  15. Ooh craney Dave - pictures please

  16. Welcome, I'm regularly in Muscat, but not sure if I would have my Duc on the roads there ;)

  17. sounds like riding in Andalusia. always dry, stupidly hot and too much dust on the roads. still, no camels to dodge.

    hello & welcome.

  18. Welcome.

I read in the paper, adultery is illegal over there ? - Stone me.

  19. Sounds like a plan
Though the best roads are around my way

Oh hello and welcome to the mad house :)

  20. I hope it's nothing like Kuwait. The road users there are completely mental.
