lol If the swingarms mounting setup is the same as the 1199 one, then I can't see why It wouldn't be a near straight swop.
that's all i wanted to know, just out of curiosity. I have no desire(or funds) to own a Panigale of any size...
so technically there's no reason to do it then if it'll just make the 899 heavier....how about putting the 899 swingarm on the 1199 to make it even lighter?? bet no ones done that
I reckon the 1199 would spend too much of it's time pointing at the sky if it had the shorter swing arm. It already does it through most of the gears when you're enthusiastic but it's a nice balance.
Exactly. These things are designed by people MUCH cleverer than (most of) us. I'm 100% certain the DSSA isnt just for cost but also for handling. The single sided might look nice but I have a feeling the 899 would be a worse bike for having it on there....and visa versa.
Now been done. The Stunning Gold OZ wheels help the looks ALOT. Billy Lyons - Photos from Billy Lyons's post | Facebook
Maybe the owner doesn't need all the extra power of the 1199 for willy waving but prefers the asthetics of the single swinger?
