What did you just buy for your bike?

  1. a couple of preload adjusters and aluminium washers with a chamfered edge all for £12. the washers were made especially to hide as much as possible of the crappy, faded blue ones on the ohlins underneath. don't look too bad.

  3. God, I know! Sad isn't it?
By the way, the guy I bought them off is interested in working with the forum. He does the crash bungs, levers, rear sets as well as all the ti nuts and bolts. I'll give you his details later on so you can have a think about it.

  6. first service on the 899 at jhp. while I was waiting I ordered dp replacement footrests to get rid of the slippy oe ones and a litech paddock stand and bobbins as the stand I have doesn't lift it up high enough to get the wheel off the floor

  7. Carbon screen just fitted, race seat just ordered.

  10. Are they "legal"? Not being a bore...just asking, nice lid

Ive taken all the simpson stickers off now also - so more often than not no one knows what it is. Which is the way I like it, although ive added a couple of stickers now and swapped the visor over...

Dunno it its legal or not - don't really care. My head has been in a simpson every time ive crashed. Its Snell 2010 certified (im sure someone will correct me on here but I believe the certification level is higher than BSi) ie mine is fireproof.

20 years ago you would have got pulled for wearing a simpson as they were so obvious - It looks like any other lid now but much better!

  12. A front Pilot Power 3 for the 999.
They had a devil's own job of getting the axle out because apparently, they can be pinched slightly out of shape by the fork pinch bolts if done up too tight, or even sometimes if done to original torque settings. Doesn't make much difference on the go, though. Anyway, I took it to my friendly Ducati mechanic who put the axle in a vice and got it back into shape for the next time.
I then had to go and scrub the tyres in, obviously. Best to get that out of the way and then you can forget about your tyres which is how I like it.

  13. I've tried to buy a slightly used kreiga us20 tail pack (several actually) from eBay but they are all going for silly money. I may as well buy a new one.

  14. I've got a barely used US 10 you can buy for fair price, just needs a wipe on the exterior as been kept in the shed for a while not being used. Think you're just over the hill from me.

  15. Cool. Where are you? Pm me :upyeah:

  16. Er, a pizza

  17. Yes, isn't it obvious?
