Hi all, While browsing flea-bay as I do every night I cam across this and fell in love with it - I have just left a deposit on it to replace my 749 (Which I thought I would never do!). It seems to have had an interesting history, and the gold frame / late registration (14-plate) does have me wondering. The seller (a Dealer) says it had been used for development before registration, but I was wondering if anyone on here knows the bike so I can get a bit more info, like which company had used it and what had been done to it? Just to put my mind at rest! Also, while I am here what is everyones opinion of the 848 Evo - All the reviews I have read seem to praise it for everything although I would like to know the bad bits! Thanks in Advance!
Was it development for these? Royal Gold introduces the unique 24k gold-plated Ducati 848 Evo in Vietnam
Will be interesting - unusual on this years plate, why would someone go to the expense to strip it to paint... someone must know something, somewhere :Watching:
Latest mystery looms I think - is it new or one owner? Did the dealer you're buying off supply it - if not check with the supplying dealer? Certainly worth knowing more
It's unusual for a standard bike to have lock wired rear hub etc, is there lots of evidence of lock wire on the engine? Brakes etc?
Carbonworld sticker on frame makes me wonder if it was a show piece type thing like conquests panigale
How many standard evos were sold in 2014? I'd expect most would go for an Evo corse se..... Especially if you the strip it, paint the frame and swing arm and put an ohlins on it. Seems a bit odd to me. I'd be digging like a pimp at a funk disco if I was you.
One owner, registered in March this year - Its not a Duc dealer I am buying it from, but seems a pretty reputable nice guy! The previous owner part exchanged it for a diavel he had if that helps?
