Darling displays his weakness immediately with his shoddy reading of his script. It's like he couldn't be bothered to learn his lines.
Right!! first question, Independence.,................but we are going to use the Pound......great, right, now we really are independent! ffs...
Darling has some very good points on the North Sea oil. Salmon is throwing out promises he can't keep as the price of oil and the money it generates are independent to the government of any country. No mention of changing priorities in oil use though like batteries in vehicles etc
Darling is all over this clown. To me it feels like Darlington provides valid points to questions and Salmond blahs for a few minutes and the pro independence voters all clap.
BBC 2 HD. I've not listened to Salmond before but he appears to be a c***. I wish he'd stop interrupting.
He has nothing beyond 'we can keep the pound' and 'the oil revenue won't drop so I don't have any answer'
Alistair Darling comes across as a professional and Salmond comes as a bloke that relies on tricks and interrupts to defer valid argument.
Missed it. But the documentary with that very annoying political commentator Scottish bloke was very good. It was on about a week ago or so. Beeb again.
The cross examination bit was crap too. They both just say what they want. Salmond more than Darling. Darling does at least try and give relevant answers. They're both shits though.
