Hi folks, just wanted to say hello, introduce myself as a new Ducati owner Just picked up an older 1998 748 & Loving it. I started with a FZR400 11 years ago when i passed my test (42 now) I rode the 400 for around 2 months, then had to sell (lost a gear) 10 years later, last year, i started to ride again and bought an RSV Mille, £900 on ebay I soon swapped for in inline 4 600cc which helped build confidence in riding, year later i have just got this beauty, I cant believe its made in Italy, just so dialed in - i have used a GSXr 600, and Ninja 600 and even a Susuki VS1400, and i must say this 748 is like going from a home made bike to a real one. even when compared to the RSV. My logbook says Ducati 748 Carbodies ?? any ideas what the carbodies bit is all about. Bike was imported from Cyprus and 1st registered in 2001 Thanks in advance Darrenb
Hi Darren, the 748 is a great bike bike, I'm sure you'll love it. Welcome to the forum, somebody on will know.
i wanted red, but after seeing it.. I am loving it yellow, goes a little better with my blue & white leathers I say a little better.. at least better than with red..
Don't you know your Ducati racing history? Supersport (600ccv 4 cylinder & 750cc Twins) YELLOW Superbike RED. Anyway you are never without a following on a yellow Ducati. Every little black bug will try and polonate it. There you are.. not only a bike but a sex life as well..
'Don't think history comes into it. Yellow is wank ' I will stand by your obviously expert knowledge of the subject.
