I've just won another Kreiga US20 tailpack on eBay. They are just like buses. Can't win one for ages then two come in at the same time. If anyone wants one just pm me and you can have it for what I've just paid for it.
Went to the airport and at check-in, the girl said "Window or aisle ?" "Window or you'll what ?" I replied
Brighton Speed Trials....worth going, but not the £12 to get to the pits....better view from above for free.
Started making crab apple jelly with the apples we foraged last week - it's a first so fingers crossed !
My wife said to me today " Did you know that butterflies only live for two days?" " I think you'll find that's a myth" I replied. "Nope, it's definitely a butterfly"
I made some more pear jam. I helped the 90 year old next door neighbour by mowing some grass under some walnut trees in her orchard. This is necessary, apparently, for the future picking of walnuts. They will then be turned into walnut oil. I'm quite interested in this process, about which I know nothing, so I plan to get involved in it. My next door neighbour is like a hobbit. She is small, rather bent, now and likes to walk around barefoot, so that her feet are very horny - like a hobbit's. She's as tough as old boots, but aged 90 is somewhat running out of steam.
I knew someone would mention that even as I typed it. But I still couldn't think of a better descriptive word.
A swift fun twisty 90 miles on the Pani; in the sun. I bought this bike in Aug 2012 and I still get as many smiles when I ride it / look at it today as I did on the day I picked it up. Big up Ducati, tis just a pity they sold too many. Good from a business sense, poor from a residuals sense. It could have been a classic (IMHO).
I think it's time my wife went on a diet. She threw the bedroom curtains open this morning, saying "Oh my god, what a lovely sunny day !" And I was still lying in total darkness
Made beer using the hops grown in our garden. (An IPA, with a view to bottling it for winter, given the quantity of hops we grew). Eaten apples from the trees in our garden. Not eaten grapes from the vine in our garden as Andy said that they were not very sweet (his exact phrase referred to the possible use of the juice for stripping crud off bike chains). That's as near as we get to the self-sufficiency good life (or should that be the "gliddofglood life" on this forum?)
Went to a war museum, a lot of horrific images from the use of agent orange. The torture images were difficult to look at. Seen a live show about the history of the country. Dodged a million scooters and got a £1 taxi ride back to hotel.
200 autumnal miles into wales - around and over Brecon mountains. Lunch at the honey cafe - bacon Brie and cranberry sandwich. Nice. And it didn't rain. Nicer.
