When the "occupying" English powers murder thousands of Scottish civilians, leave them living in slums, deny them basic freedoms and discriminate against them in every possible way, I'm sure they will start firing whatever they can. Let's not start the bollocks again....please!
Remembering of course than no one will live anywhere north of Watford and anti missile silos will be based around Preston taking everything out
Can't wait till the next time I'm given a Scottish fiver in my change...and I will say, sorry it's not legal tender, so stick it up your kilt.
Stretta... 1. I'm sure that there are a good number of the Scottish persuasion who believe that, historically, that is exactly what has happened. ( Finm, feel free to jump in here... ). 2. I was, in fact, joking...
I couldn't even get RBS to change me £80 in Scottish notes back into proper ££ in a London branch. The only reason I had so many was that was what a Scottish bank machine spewed out at me. Some of them were their own banknotes. "Do you have an account with us?" "No." "Then I'm afraid we can't help you."
I wasn't overly fussed (I'm still not desperate) but I hope the No vote gets it now. Apart from the psychological identity thing, I can't really see how the Scots will be much happier, better off and freer if they get independence. It's a gamble, essentially. It might pay off, and it might not. But if it doesn't... On a personal basis, what difference will it really make?
Whatever the result, it would be better for it to have a substantial majority and therefore be widely accepted. The worst result is 50.1% to 49.9%, which leaves half the population feeling aggrieved and annoyed.
