If you mean me fin nope I like a laugh not just a moan. But also like a decent debate too I have rarely met a Scot who hasn't got anti English sentiment in them somewhere, I have lived in towns heavily populated with Scots and worked with some closely for years.
What I want to know is why do female Scottish MP's look like lesbians. I know there are some normal looking women in Scotland, I've seen them. Is Scottish politics so rowdy that you have to a nightclub bouncer to get involved?
yip my wife and daughter is some of them. but your right it's only banter ya "english pr.ck" is that not as funny as Elt's video. come on man it's hilarious? on another thread maybe, No it isnt and i have like most distanced my self from that crap and wont tolerate it. i guess it's just our turn (on this forum only obviously as i cant imagine you would express them on the street)next week it will be the poles, the Russians,Indians, Pakistanis Americans maybe? debate? what debate? but i guess we have been doing this a bit longer than you guys and are better for it. its an old saying but very apt "you Reep what you sow".:Cigar::smile:
If they decide to go their own way, it wont be oil and water. From what I can see its just the Scottish being able to govern themselves, but a very close relationship will remain in place....hopefully
I still dont fully understand whats going on Is there a definitive list of what Scotland gain and what they lose? Because so far all i hear is one side saying they'll keep the pound amongst other things and the other saying they wont. Surely somebody knows what will happen? Scotland is Scotland, England is England, i dont see what all the fuss is about, if Scotland want to go it alone who are we to say otherwise. I just hate all the smoke and mirrors shite both sides of the political fence seem to be saying. Why cant these morons just be frank and honest for a change. Let the Scots know exactly where the line will be drawn, no bullshit, just say either 'yes' you'll keep to pound or 'No' you need to find a new currency, the same applies to every other gain or loss. Honestly its as though nobody has bothered discussing this since the idea of independance came about and whilst we like to think that could be the case i really doubt it is. The 'markets' will settle more if everybody knows whats happening so by being so cagey its just fueling the fire isnt it?
more of an adventure.my advise, stay away from the tourist rout next time.there are so much better roads to be had.
@finm - can you do me a route on google maps or something and send it to me please? I can then send it to the powers that be to show them. Thanks old fella me lad
Not sure I've been rude or given an opinion which could be construed as offensive actually. But yes if that was my view I would give it on the street. Whatever happens you sweaties will get mote say in how things are run. Lucky you
at a time like this when most on the street are more passionate about this decision than people on here are about there"baby, lady, her, she" yip just some of there names for their ducs i have heard on here, kind of have to be careful what we say it's a forum with no eye contact. lets not fuel the fire, i cant think of a day in the last thirty years where someone hasn't said to me "OI ya cheeky bastid" that's me but i like to think i put a bit of effort and forethought in to the subject and the persons feelings. that's proper debate for me.
Leave them where they are. Scotland will have no armed forces when they pull out of the UK apart from service personnel. We have all the ships, planes, tanks etc. So we can roll in afterwards and take over all the good bits and leave them with Glasgow.
got ducati up north already, not a bad wee site, used to be really busy could do with a bit of support. great technical archive.
This is a massive issue for all IMHO. My big fear is that the result will be so close as to be inconclusive which will mean the independence question will keep rolling on and on. The parallel I keep seeing is with Quebec. They have been holding referenda on separating from the rest of Canada for the last 30+ years. Montreal used to be the richest and most powerful city in Canada. Every time another referendum is held the Canadian dollar fluctuates in value and more businesses piss off either to Toronto ( which is now the 3rd biggest city in north America) or across the border to the USA. As a result most exporting Canadian business just trade in US dollars directly these days as the Canadian dollar is too unreliable. I completely understand why scots want change as its clear lots of them they have been left to rot for along time but while slimey salmond and what ever lying toe rag in number 10 are willy waving, conjuring up headline grabbing, ineffectual and contradictory policies to out-do each other which ultimately will stir up more unnecessary nationalistic bullshit between England and Scotland Wales and Ireland, aswell as the rest of the EU ( playing right into UKIP's hands). All the while China and Russia and are cleaning up and dominating the worlds economies. I fear that with the exception of London the rest of what's left of our countries will end up a limp dick backwater with ever decreasing power and influence on the edge of the 3rd or 4th largest trading block in the world.
