Steam cleaner

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by apuhtred, Jul 31, 2012.

  1. The wife has a new toy for cleaning the oven with. So after she had given me an in depth demonstration of "how to clean the oven" I had a thought. Can you use this steam thingy to clean the bike? Will it do any damage to anything? I was mostly thinking of the arse end as I am just about to have some nice bling fitted. Pics to follow once fitted. Should be OK shouldnt it?

  2. Lmao I was going to reply but I better not steal your thread 

  3. I use a small Kracher one on the 1098 after applying a degreaser to particularly shit covered parts. It works a treat and lifts stuff water just won't. Its safer than a pressure washer although I apply the same rules, keeping clear of bearings etc:

Casings etc get hot but not scalding the heat dissipates real quick. I find it very effective for engine, wheels exhaust etc: Hasn't lifted any coatings and I've used it loads of times

    Just my experience

  4. have been tempted in the past but would always worry about the consequences. 'O' or 'X' ring chain would be another to avoid cleaning despite the temptation.

  5. Explain ? And don't sell the bike
