I agree the bike is not about flat out speed, my neck isn't strong enough for that! Is there a noticeable difference? With the 14 on the front? I see a lot of people doing this on various forums and threads, but why go down a tooth on the front rather than up on the rear sprocket?
There is a notable difference on acceleration but not massive, the front end gets lighter. It's cheaper to do front sprocket as you don't have to add /remove links on chain Rear sprockets you would have to do this well add links that's for sure, or just replace chain..
Last ride out for a week, overseas with work this week, bloody nice out too. Properly over 3000 miles now and the bikes given no trouble at all, doesn't appear to have used any oil, chain has been adjusted only once, but lubed plenty. Rear tyre is shot though, might have to run it up and down hartside a couple of times just to get rid of some of the rubber on the edge... middle and shoulders are down to the marks though. Might need to get some thing more suited to the winter now, although SCs fitted as standard were pretty good in the wet, I might want a few more miles out of the next set. Looking forward to fitting my new HID lamp when I get back!
I had diablo rosso corsa onine and although some say they rubbish I found they were fine in the wet but didn't last long. I asked the shop to fit a diablo 2 bit when I got back to the shop they'd fitted an angel. I didn't have time to change it as was off to the tt the next day. Ive got to say it's been fantastic although I don't do track days. I still got the rosso corsa on the front. off to north wales tomorrow for a ride. 6 of us up one way stop over night and back a different way.
the Angels get good reviews in various threads, will be asking the dealer for recommendations . Hoping to get a trackday in before the weather turns bad. Hope you have fun in Wales
I've just put a T30 on the rear but mine is a strada so i may not be cool enough for these here parts...
Oooh I don't know - ive got a set of angel ST's on mine at the moment but, then again it is my work hack...
Just got back from an epic ride around wales. Some fantastic roads only spoiled on 2 occasions by the north wales police helicopter following us for a fair bit. Tyres were great, plenty of grip on all sorts of surfaces
