That's the one I was thinking of Borgo. It was advertized on E-Bay, it had a fearsome spec for a Guzzi. The factory have produced all sorts of variations on the engine over the years but all (to my eye)exciting designs never seemed to go into production

Yes, that subcutaneous infiltration is something they do very well. I've felt that same way with Guzzis more than with any other bikes I've ridden or owned. Hard to define why it is, but I've always thought it was due to the way they deliver their power in that lazy-gobby-throbby-solid torque way. I've had a LM II, LM I and T3 that got Cali-fied. After riding to Spa for the Bikers Classics series in July, I decided to enter next year and have a T3 on the bench now for that mission. There'll be faster, lighter weapons out there, but with a lap length of 7km, a Guzzi's probably not the worst choice. (Anyone got a pair of spoked wheels for sale?)
Borgo if yer pulling it apart, or need any advice I may be able to assist. I've torn down and rebuilt 2 now, they are hardly rocket science mind. I have some special tools as well, that may help. Just let me know. John
