Back from Germany, good breakfast at Mickeys Diner once off the tunnel train then home. Washing machine on and cleaning panniers, helmets etc. The bikes... Well, they're filthy and covered in dead insects. They may have to wait until tomorrow for their clean.
I've been in the office. Had my car taken to the garage to be fixed as it wouldn't start on Friday night when I was leaving. The car is still in dock so I had to borrow a courtesy car to go to a meeting in Nottingham this afternoon. Tomorrow I am off to Aldershot for the day. Hurrah.
bikes cleaned as well. removed the nail I discovered as we were leaving on Sunday, tyre went straight down, hmmm what to do, it still has plenty of tread on it. Darn!
Slightly relieved to have been offered a job, fairly disappointed at the salary. At the moment I've no choice but to take it.
I resigned from my job on the 6th August and was working my 3 months notice until 6th Nov, but at lunchtime today, my manager called me in and offered me "gardening leave" if I wanted it. Needless to say I accepted immediately and was on my way home at 2pm - it feels great
It didn't so much peter out as stop dead. He lost a load of work, so the stuff he was going to sub out to me he's having to do himself. I've been sat on me arse for the last two weeks.
I booked a last minute holiday to Mexico when I got home, leaving tomorrow, and as me and the wife were packing, we started to discuss kinky fantasies. My wife told me that she'd always fancied being handcuffed, so when she wasn't looking, I planted 10 grams of heroin in her suitcase
Had a completely shit day at work, hip pain was about 8/10 all morning . Took a full dose of cocodamol (2x 30/500mg), followed shortly by 100mg of tramadol. End result, I felt dizzy, nauseous and, hey, still in agony. Triff. By the end of the afternoon I was feel a bit better so I took a gentle blat to Bog's Ill, chatted with some bikers - one a brand new learner on the road but with 7 years of motocross experience, so he had some interesting questions and experiences. Pretty much pitch black by the time I got home, the nights are drawing in like mad buggers. Now listening to my Manhattan Transfer CD, "Pastiche".
Got car collected so they could sort cracked rim, left me a nice 14 plate E class (I k ow I won't want the CLA back now!) and a day of admin and calls....then this eve fitted my new adjustable clip on which, it seems.Don't seem to want to clock tight enough that I reckon I will move them in a fast chicane..ffs!! Why cant people sell stuff that actually works?!
I love to spoil my wife after she's had a stressful day at work. Today I got her to text me when she was leaving so I could get the hot tap running, swirl around the foam and bubbles and perfectly time everything so that, the moment she walks through the door, the dishes are piled up and waiting for her
Today rode 300 miles to Somerset and back, visiting old relative in Yeovil Hospital. Weather, bike & ride really great. Relic not so good.
