Is this the 848 Corse? If so, please stick some pics up on here (I'm sure you'll be doing that anyway!). Did you go for any extras with the bike?
I guess they do! Seems to be universal that the Corse looks bad in pics and great in the flesh, or maybe just better in the flesh than in the pics. Hence me asking for some photos once you get the bike. I really don't like the look of the marketing pics Ducati have on their websites as they just seems to suck the colour out of the bikes or the 848 at least. I said to the guy in Ducati Glasgow that I wanted a standard Evo in red as the Corse paint didn't look very good from what I'd seen and I wasn't sure about the extra dough for the DTC etc. But while I was looking into my options after the test ride, I had a good look at YouTube and some other photos and the Corse looked brilliant. Every person I've spoken too says they look awesome in the flesh too so I was convinced that the Corse was worth the extra for the higher spec and the paint wasn't an issue anymore. I don't even think the red looks good in the marketing pics, but it's brilliant in the flesh. Seems the Corse paintjob is the same! Find it strange that the publicity shots can be so unflattering. (not sure if that's a word!) Andy
I've got to say that I'd not considered the Evo Corse at all based on the pics I'd seen on line. But then I saw one in the flesh and I was smitten! They are truly gorgeous IMO. They've not got some of the nicey nicey bits that many supersports have as standard nowadays (gear indicator, slipper clutch and in some cases ABS etc) but the rest of the engineering package is truly magnificent. I am looking forward to using the quick shifter though ps - only two days to go
This is really encouraging to hear to be honest. I was still thinking I should've gone plain red but I really fancy the quick shifter too and the better shock. I can't see me using the Traction Control but it can't do any harm to have it as an option I guess. I am used to having a gear indicator and use it all the time so that'll take a bit of getting used to and despite what people say, I think a slipper clutch is handy too. I can sort these later if I miss them that badly. Enjoy it when you pick it up. And don't forget pics!
