Here's a decent kit to be getting on with. Fuse starter kit. And you'll be needing some e-liquid... Classic tobacco. Start with a high nicotine content; people fail cos they think it's the nicotine that's bad, it isn't, it's all the other shit in fags that kills you, you need a high nicotine strength to take away the cravings.
And you won't smoke it the same way you smoke fags. For a while the e-fag will be constantly in your gob, and you'll start worrying about it. Don't. Like all new things they just take a bit of getting used to. Expect a sore throat, too...
Another miserable day at work followed up by an evening bike ride. I don't think my 999 has ever been this dirty. Getting my last summer rides in before the inevitable end of this incredible Indian Summer.
I left the house at 5am this morning to drive to Aldershot. Got there at 9.15am. Was in meetings till 3pm then drove home, and got in at 6.55pm. It might have been a good visit. I didn't take any shit and got what I wanted
Took the diavel back after a good hard thrash. Back tyres nicely worn in! Prefer the multi though, don't feel like I'm in some B biker movie when riding. That said it was a laugh.
I really enjoyed my two hour test ride on the Diavel when I took one out. I've arranged to have another for the weekend to really give it a go and see how I get on with it for long trips. It would be a second bike if I really like it
First thing I noticed was how it dipped into corners. To do with the length of the wheel base and rake of the forks i was told. Very different from the neutral feel of multi, which nearly steers its self. Found it easier two up. Something I did get used to after a while. I guess its all part of the Italian character that makes such fantastic bikes. Arms stretched out, feet forward, need some tassels on my jacket!
I went on a hostelling holiday with the wife today. Tonight I said, "I think there's a monster under my bed..." "Grow up," she replied. "No, really," I continued. "It's hideous..." "Stop pissing about," she snapped. "I knew it was a mistake letting you have the top bunk."
I made yet another apple tart. I can't help it. They are so easy to make and relatively cheap and I feel obliged to use at least some of my surfeit of apples. Next up will be another damson tart. There is one downside to all these tarts though. I can't see how they won't make me fat. I also translated about 2'000 words of a technical document about a high-end DAC. Not that simple as electronics has never been my strong point. I can't say that the specialised vocab is really top of mind.
