think brads right when you go this far on a bike they don't start to work unless your nearly on lap record pace, most of us would go faster on a superstock spec as a bsb spec bike,
I take it the rear wheel s for dyno use??? those are impressive numbers!!!!you will obviously have to hold on to the thing but im sure with that system and steve mapping itll be an extremely useable tool!!!!itll all be down to how and where that power comes in. my 1199 should be quite abit lighter than stock and should have a healthy rise in power (not to the extremes of your build) and I can tell everyone that its 100 times more friendly than a stock 1199!!!!!mainly due to that big turbo like hit being gone. thing is most people will be thinking it will perform like a 200 bhp plus/155kgs STANDARD 1199.....but you can forget how a standard 1199 works.not many people will experience it. it will be a beast....but a useable beast no doubt.
I'm sure it will, but...if you are going to tune it back, whats the point in building it to ride it? For the occasional ride out, lounge or garage even actually i get that, but surely you have to go big or go home after all the effort and cost?!
If you really think about it, there's not a great deal of difference in spending a shedload to build a bonkers bike the performance of which you might not really use, and what most of us do, which is spend quite a lot of money (perhaps even more in relative terms of our finances) to also buy bonkers bikes, mainly for road use, the performance of which we rarely use. In both cases you shell out for potential performance because it makes you feel good. So I don't see Koen's bike as anything other than occupying one end of a continuum, rather than embodying a completely different philosophy.
only because no dyno station has got the cash to stump up for a wind tunnel - which would need to run up at 90 meters a second in order to give you a wind speed of 201mph. Is the fuel tank 29kg? who makes it? because if its carbon and empty at 29kg send it back and tell then to have a word with themselves! Also... in the photo you have no feet!?! - who has stolen your feet?
:Watching::Watching: Come on Carl, put us alllllll out of our misery man :Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh::Arghh:ummy:ummy:ummy:
@mygreenalien - on a scale of 1 to 10, how pissed off are you now knowing that Ducati are going to launch a 1299?
Looking at the price of parts I'm surprised you did not build it from the ground up, given so much was changed. I was impressed that a good few SL parts, crank, pistons, heads etc did not seem that expencive. Even the Mg frame was a fair price.
Hope everything is OK Carl and the reason for your not updating the thread is because your still getting over the RWHP of the thing
