It doesn't need a referendum for that my friend. When I moved into my house in Edinburgh 7 years ago (nice area or so I thought) within a week someone sprayed "English Scum" on my front door. I wouldn't have minded so much but they were incorrect about the nationality. When I renewed the door the blighter did it a second time. For the benefit of the author whilst waiting for a second door I merely scrubbed out "English" in the hope the author would realise how insular he was. What fun.
