Struggling With This New Tax Law

  1. It has no markings or VIN as trailers do, very very very strange; I must put on my sleuthing cap once more now there is room for another major story following the Scottish loosing yet another battle :D

  2. Ah, just found a plaque which says 1957 also: send me a picture so I forge it correctly!!!

  3. would that apply if it was a prototype though?

the wheels might have come off a '52?!?

  4. It has to be a prototype as they didn't start making my trailer until 2007 - so there!

  5. It's a friggin scam,absolutely nothing to do with efficiency/saving the taxpayer money/whatever.
I've just taxed one of my trucks, cost about £750 for six months. The truck is for sale and not currently in use,but I keep it road legal just in case.
If someone buys it today,I lose one sixth of the £750,and the buyer has to buy the tax for the rest of the month, costing him £125....
As for saving the cost of printing the disc,( last month for my ST2) ,they sent a picture and instructions to print it myself!
    No cost to to them!
As usual,it's dog shit in a shiny wrapper....

  6. you'll get the tax back for each full month remaining when they get the V5 requesting change of owner.

The buyer will need to initiate a new tax year.

I'm just waiting to see how long before the news reports that the system's falling flat on its face.
