It's A Monster!

  1. Well, having resigned myself to never seeing my stolen 900ss again, on saturday I bought a 2005 Monster S4r. The insurance seems to be going through okay and have agreed a reasonable value for the bike, which by the time they take the excess off will leave me with about as much as I could expect. I always loved my 900ss, as it was a bike that I had lusted after before I got it and I had it for 8 years. Couldn't bring myself to look for another supersport though, as it just wouldn't be the same. Thought the riding position of a monster would be easier as I am 55. Really liked the look of the S4r, but was really surprised by how quickly I have taken to it, easy to manoeuvre and smoother at low speeds, but the power of the engine is something else!
I will post some photos of it soon.

  3. 55yo's ride 899's ;)

  4. Did you buy the bike with the face?

  5. 71 yo's ride Supersports, Monsters, ST2's and 748's. Not to mention the Classic racing machinery.:Woot:

  6. What colour did you get Sparch? I always wanted an S4R, then an RS. Didn't get either :(

  7. Hi Pavey, I got a Blue and White one, photos below. There was a Black one at the same price with louder exhausts where I bought it from, which sounded great, but being Black it just didn't stand out and make the most of the design features in the way that the Blue and White did. If I could have got them to swap over the exhausts it would have been even better!
