If anyone wants to loose their rattle please put it in an envelope marked...... Oh if only it was so simple
Surely it's just a certain generation of Ducatis. I don't think a Ducati is any less a Ducati without the rattle. Bog standard Fugleys sound very quiet though - most unDucati-like.
All the newer models are no less Ducati's than the older models that have been replaced....they have just grown up n out grown the need for a rattle.
Yes i do , not only for the noise but for the reason it was designed that way in the first place. No contamination of the oil.
Mine hasn't 'rattled' in years ..... unless the clutch is pulled in I prefer the heartbeat of the open cans to the sound of a bag of spanners Ducati Clutch - Ssssshhhhhhh - YouTube
Is thread for real? , it wouldn't have happened in the ole' Ducatisti days  Jimmy (was Jimmy996) here saying hello to one and all and if I could amplify my clutch anymore I would....
Thank god were not still there then! Ah the beauty of uncensored freedom of speech without the worry of having your posts deleted or upsetting a knoberator Oh dam that predictive text again...sorry that was ment to be moderator
Problem is that some of the best engines ducati have made have a dry clutch so you either get on board or mod it. Personally I like modding bikes and Ducatis are great for it so that's what I'm doing. However one thing I can't condone is having quiet pipes on a twin...... That's just bloody silly
The clutch rattle is just part of the joy of owning a Ducati, if it bothered me I wouldn't have bought the bike!
