Something New From Kawasaki

  1. Ha ha ha I don't think I'd be looking anywhere else but straight ahead :Wideyed:

  2. Have they mentioned how much it weighs yet? Superchargers generally add a bulk of weight as all the engine components need to be strengthened.

  3. 300bhp duke. the additional weight is an irrelevance unless its an anvil

  4. Since the road version is now claimed to be only 200ps which isn't even 200bhp and less than BMW are claiming for the 2015 S1000RR i reckon its juts one big marketing hype than anything for the future.

  5. Is it me or is it just willy waving? I am seriously not impressed. I have owned lots of kwaks, from z650's GPz's, rode an original turbo ZXR's, ZZR's the last I rode was my brothers zzr1400 at that time I realised I was getting too old for this speed thing, and actually slowing down and owning a couple of a/c dukes is all I need. I get more enjoyment and fun out of my ss and fugly than I would doing a hundred and plenty at warp speed.
Feck I have just realised I am old, I am middle aged and I have written the above, someone shoot me please.

  6. Yes you are old

  7. Maybe so but it still looks awesome and better than anything else currently mooted. Ducati included.

  8. That depends on the materials used - remember Kawasaki make their own alloys too

  9. I just dislike all the hype. 300ps or even 200ps is great to try once in a straight line ( i would reckon) but it wont make a bike go round a corner any quicker and that surely is where the fun is to be had.

Motogp bikes have approx 230bhp and weigh approx 160kg. This will have less power on the roadbike and probably in the region of 60kg more weight. Motogp bikes reach around 220 mph at best.

KTM hyped the Superduke 1290 so much the actual roadbike could never be as good and is now largely all forgotten and nothing like the fire breathing beast KTM claimed.

Its good Kawasaki are trying something different, Japan has lost its way in this respect in recent years but let's not get too carried away by figures until its ridden by someone not in Kawasaki's payroll.

  10. H2R is £50k , and H2 will be circa £25k. 10 "R" versions and 15 normal coming to the uk.

  11. But younger than youse

  12. I've just sold my late mothers house so watch this space. It looks stunning, forget the quoted BHP,someone will be able to turn the boost up on the road version, someone will do an uprated clutch for the road version and at last Kawasaki have well and truly gone back to their roots and build a true game changer again.Mind you,if I fit a TTS on my ZZR1400 .....
    "Let the good times roll"

  13. First thing I'll be getting fitted is a RFSAT :Chicken:

  14. Why would it weight 220 kg?
As all sorts of bikes now make nearly 200 bhp, why would the road one not make a bit more, seeing as it is also a 1000cc but with a supercharger?

I agree with you about going around corners.
Going very fast all the time is only going to end up with no licence. Inevitably. Because when you finally are nicked, you'll be doing Warp 9 at the time and the judge is not going to be impressed.

  15. I dont do corners,so all good for me.

  16. H2R looks shit ,300bhp where the fk u gonna use that power

  17. I dunno, but you can poke yer poxy Superleggera right up where the sun don't shine!
