Just wondered....with them being different to JIL4's. I know when I got my RSV after years on the jap stuff, I thought it was broke till I learned to ride it.
That would be right!! Anyway isn't that all the fun of a new bike the differences otherwise we would all have a non ducati It is a learning curve Now don't put him off. I remember the lock on mine well lack of it!!
Too late now he's done it. It might not have the pull of his Yamaha ha R1, but will get just as much fun from the 848. Yeah, I believe they're changing the test for Ducati owners, instead of the turn in the road manoeuvre, they are implementing a turn round the block move.
Your sooo right there 3 point turn more like 50 dohh And the false neutrals Don't even bother with the mirrors But..... There is something about them
Keep it above 2.5k and you'll love it. Oh and you will need to learn the chicken dance, and then to realise there is only 1 car behind you not the six in the mirror, roll off the throttle to check this!
Good luck with collecting it today El Toro. One quick question - your comment relating to the suspension - did you have this set up for you prior to collection, or was there a mod you were getting done? Remember the pics... Andy
The suspension mod is being done by Kais and it's really to lower the bike for my little legs, but to retain the original kind of feel to it. They even put a new sidestand on so that it works as it should. I will stick pics on as soon as I can but that might be Sunday
Well Ive got it  and I'm back at the office Ride back (some 35 miles) was unadventerous, thank God. It's a different ride from the R1 for certain but I'm sure I'll get used to it once it's run in I'm able to open it up a bit  Only downer is when I got back and was showing it off I noticed that the tax disc has flown off somewhere between Sale and Holmfirth
Nice one.....congratulations! At least it wasn't the exhaust heat shield that flew off.....now go buy some loctite!
Come on stop looking at it in the garage....... We know you are......... it'll still be there in the morning when you have your breakfast with it......don't worry that's normal too! Your amongs friends here who share the same affliction! Does it make you smile?......if you look right into its eyes when you smile....it will smile right back at you!
Hahaha............Have you got a camera in my garage? I was lovingly wiping the spots of rain off it when the missus came home and she asked whether I wanted my tea in the garage
Where's the pics? In the old days of Pistonheads there was the tin of custard test to prove you weren't a bullshitter! They had so many visitors claiming they owned a ZXGTR$9RRST, any new claim had to be substantiated by a pic of said ZXGTR$9RRST with a tin of custard on the roof... PS.I'm sure El Toro is genuine... If if EL Toro is Spanish for....
I actually haven't taken any pics yet cos I rode straight from the dealers back to the office. Then when I left at 5pm to come home it had just started to rain. That said, the Sales Manager at Ducati Manchester took some pics of me and the bike which he said he'd email to me.........but I've not received them yet Rest assured I will post some over the weekend however it will be sunday at the earliest as we're off to some festival tomorrow up in the Lakes. And I would normally have ridden there but it looks like it's gonna wazz down all weekend. :frown:
