Teccy question. Is there any know way of adjusting the freeplay on the F-B-W throttle. I've recently seen a World superstock bike and there is no free play at all on the throttle tube (mine has a good 1-2 mm free play) and it was also a much shorter pull. I'd like to do this to mine but not sure how to.
Mine currently in having a mod to remove the free play. I'll say no more until I get the bike back and see if its worked which will hopefully be some point next week.
1 -2mm doesn't sound that much at all. Certainly preferable to too little and the throttle not closing!
ive got a few mm but tbh cant say its a problem, most bikes ive had have a few mm, probably better on the road as every bump wont upset the throttle if its wired tight,
Only sensible mods - The std bike is far more capable than me and 99% of club racers so my money will go on track time and tyres
Quick update, collected my bike today with the new mod to the throttle. I've only ridden the bike home but can confirm that all the free play has now been eliminated. The throttle feels instant and the biggest difference for me is in blipping on the downshifts which is so much easier. As far the actual mod goes I'm not a 100% what they did as the tech was not around when I collected my bike which also means I can confirm the cost yet as I haven't paid for it. Will hopefully have an update tomorrow on the exact costs and fitting times, etc but its a relatively cheap mod from my initial conversations with the tech. All I can say its a worthwhile mod if you feel there is too much free play in the throttle.
