Barstewards Strike Again!

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Sean37, Oct 8, 2014.

  1. Hi All
The thieves struck again Edmonton N London 1:30 Sunday morning. Ducati Hyperstrada White reg: KV13 VRW

She was stolen without the panniers. We did everything we could lockable front gates, high powered security lighting, chain and ground anchor and two disc locks front and back. The only thing that woke us was next doors chain ding as the bike was lifted over it. We chased said barstewards down the road the wife managed to open the front passenger side door and grab an occupant whilst I opened the back and grab my bike but unfortunately the driver reversed back knocking me to the ground and Diane lost grip on the young lad in front before they sped away. She didn't go without a fight but unfortunately all we came away with was scrapes and bruises. Can't believe its happened again two years ago my KTM and now my Ducati, at the mo we are considering getting rid of everything as it is our insurances are so high and they're only going to get higher because someone believes they have more of a right to our stuff than we do.
Well I know its probably gone but keep and eye out if you can, its been smart watered and datataged and dotted.
    Thanks
    Shaun and Diane Grundon

  2. Was it garaged? seems like in the open no matter what security is a difficult one.

I have ground anchors, a garage alarmed and connected to the telephone but ultimately, it is still full of vulnerable bikes.

Frustratingly, the thieves if caught won't get a big enough deterrent to prevent anything.

  3. I feel for you. This is awful. :(

  10. Bad news but glad you were not seriously hurt when they reversed into you, could have been much worse.

  13. Gutted for your loss, was it garaged at all?:(

  14. I feel for you Bud. Nasty thing to happen but if they are caught they'll have some bleeding heart social working saying "society is to blame." Best of luck with the insurance, etc.

  15. Hope you got the reg of the vehicle they were in.

  16. The sad news is the actual thieves won't get anything like that money, it's probably worth £500 to a grand at most to them, that's what they see with a chain on it. And that just makes it worse.

  17. That's awful. Could have been much worse though so be thankful about that at least.

  18. Utter scum.Cut their hands off with a spade.
