Practical Sportsbikes New Ducati Project Build

  1. Latest issue just dropped through the door and they have just started a new Project Series building an 851 replica out of an ST4.

    Just sayin...

They recon they can do it for £4K and the real ones cost £6K+
Think your better buying a real one for £5K+ - they do come up in reasonable nick...

  2. I'd have the ST4

  4. But then I'd give to Louigi Moto for a massive tweak, stick some panniers on it and ride to Portimao.

  5. You need to change your subscriptions, there ain't no stories!

  6. I think Steve Bailey, I think his username is @duc904red, of 888 Fabrications may be involved somewhere.

  7. Even without the cost of the donor bike a £4000 build sounds optimistic. Perhaps PS have factored in press blagging.

  8. It says in the mag BBB Fabrications - BBBfabrications.com did you get your 8's mixed up with your B's Matt?

  9. Fat fingers I would guess :)

  10. Have you seen how far away the B is from the 8 - what was he typing with DB!!!!!!!!!! :Wideyed:

  11. Not a typo, it was just early when I typed it. Havent read the article yet. Weird to get the mag on a Wednesday though. Normally get it on Sat morning...no sniggering at the back

  12. They could have used 888?

  13. Of course the advantage of a "replica" 851 or 888 built from an ST4 is that you can abuse the sh*t out of it without having to worry about destroying a piece of history...

  14. I read in the same magazine that RGV 250s are available for less than a grand.
    Really?

  15. If they're in a wheelbarrow..

  16. I buy bike mags for pictures of bikes not stories, who needs stories

  17. It says £3500 on the cover too!

  18. That's an expensive mag

  19. Yeh, not a lot left for wheels now :(
