This is my winter project for next season. It started as a 2014 Street Triple R that had been written off. Bent forks, buckled wheel and discs, bent yokes but straight frame. Some scuffs to the engine cases and other areas and a few dents in the tank. Currently it has a Speed Triple 2012 front end, so wheel, discs, triples are from the Speed along with the Brembo brakes and master cylinder. It stops very, very quickly. I have had MADASL working on the settings with me and the bike is working now, it gives a harsh ride but I am undecided whether this is a rear shock issue or a fork spring issue. The front end us working well after a change to lighter oil from stock. I'm intending to get the panels painted to look like burnished steel as per the tank but I'm not sure when this will be. Otherwise, its there pretty much. Its mostly cosmetic changes, I'm not chasing speed but handling will be looked at again next season.
Here's my SV650 - well, most of it's SV650, there's a healthy amount of GSXR and some FZ-6 in there too amongst other things. My first project. Hooked now. Mick..
this weekend i did what i have wanted to do for 12 years - ride the wheels off my RC30 around a track without fear of launching it into the scenery. And wow it was worth it. It sure surprised a few folk out there on more powerful modern machinery, and even a few of the younger riders had no idea what it was. But i had even more fun on the CRM250AR, that thing can make its lines up as it goes along and is just a hoot to ride. A great weekend all told.
Had a run out to Kielder Reservoir, definitely getting cooler ! Longing for an 899 Panigale although I cannot fault the Blade.
