Nothing better to do....

  1. .....if you think I am on here a lot........

.......I'm currently ill (have been since late December) and part of the illness is incurable (but manageable) so apart from a recent run out on the bike with Paul563, I can't do a great deal other than fiddle with small items on the bike and mess around on here......

.....'polly-gees for my bad humour...............the oral steroid courses have driven me slightly mad.

  2. Hi AL,

You'll fit in well here with the rest of us, who in my case have the edge on you, as I'm naturally mad and the other bonkers people here;-)

    Anth

  3. Just keep looking forward, a good friend of ours is in the same position at the moment, good luck with all the meds and I hope you don't have too many mood swings.

    All the best

    Katie

  4. Get well soon..... I am like you as and when , no poly gees needed as for steroids I know I am scared il wake up and see Arnie staring back at me one morning eeeek!!!!

    Take care Suffolk chappy !

  5. Get better soon fella. Your here thats the main thing

    squeezey

  6. Hallo............How do you know I look like Arnie? (or Grant Mitchells father, more like).........and contrary to what you post suggests, I don't go around breaking into ladies bedrooms at night.......just to look at them.....

    AL

PS I'm really from Essex (originally).

  7. The unfortunate thing is that part of the problem can never be cured and the other part can be treated medically....

...What Doc is trying to do is ascertain what percentage is the incurable bit and what percentage is treatable.......

....Some days I'm relatively OK, but generally I'm just about flaked out....so I can hardly see me kickstarting a Royal Enfield in the very near future.

But thanks for the good wishes.

    AL.

  8. I worded it wrong :) I'm on wretched steroids as well and I get scared il wake up look in the mirror and find out I've turned into Arnie :)

Take each day as it comes.. Look after yourself .

No body could creep into my room anyhow they would trip over my headlight fairing , tank , and crash helmets :)

  9. Shouldn't that read "No creep could crash over my body and trip on their helmets, into my tank and fairing"?

Don't get me wrong.....I really like the steroids..........I could flatten anyone while I'm on them....................

    AL

  10. Lol yup ..... And they would get walloped with my pirate sword if they dented my tank!!!

Just got 4 more weeks if them myself ... After the injection ones I feel like a new woman :)
    instead of Thora Hurd ...

  11. Im sorry to hear of your illness Al.
I know what you mean about roid rage as I was on them after a crash a few years back and would kick off at the slightest thing.
Then again, might be a good opportunity for a wind-up.......

  12. I'm the sort of person who bubbles away for ages then when I do get angry I blow my top ..
Usually very mild mannered .. Quiet unless provoked.

I've got another month of steroids now after a few weeks on them today blew my top twice on the phone to my bank and energy company who made up meter readings and after asuring me sorry won't rake the money .. Took it !!
After being cut off twice , stupid automated phone system which are the bain of my life and being fed bull by both I hit the roof....normally I'm level voiced and polite ..
Today ... What am I going to be like in a month..,

poor Al .. Hope your not as grumpy as me on them :(

  13. Seems like there are a few of us out of action at the mo.

  14. :( and either looking like Rambo or Fatima Whitbread in a dew weeks.

  15. :) yes Fatima ;)

  16. Sorry.......I missed your post........my oral steroids are for my lungs, so I don't know why they affect my head...........but they do.......They are slowly reducing them now, but luckily I have a spare full pack of them....Tee - hee...... "You talkin' to me?"

    AL

  17. I hope you both feel better soon.
At least you have steroids to explain your odd behaviour, most of us on here are just..........well..........odd.
