yep agree can not understand why the secrecy in the bhp figure ,,, just tell and be done if it makes less well that's by the by but if I put loads of cash into a motor I wouldn't be so secretive about the result its good or its shit,
personally I would be more interested in comparative lap times / rideability than out and out bhp fig
As the fella owns an R too, I'd be more interested in how it compares on track. Can a mere mortal acually tell the difference and feel its worth it and get quicker times?
From the sounds of it, Carl has got exactly what he wants. Whether he has increased the BHP or not, doesn't make a blind bit of difference. From what I see and hear he has made it more rider friendly and can only guess that this is what he wanted.!. Good Luck and enjoy Carl, its sounds promising that you've got what you wanted.
don't know how you can say its more rider friendly ,, he never rode the superleggera did he ? thought it was bought and sent straight away to be dismantled,
Can we not have separate thread for those wanting to take potshots for not posting his bhp figures, jeez you guys could make it a whole separate "We have right to know the bhp figures too" forum... While we're at it Carl, I demand to know how much you spent on the entire build and what the CO2 emissions are....I have rights as a reader of a public forum...
Carl Thanks for sharing the project and especially the latest pictures of the finished bike One question though - what is the small tank beside the display on the right hand side of the upper fairing with the red tubes going in/out of?
Jimmy quite frankly I couldn't give a 'rats arse' about your comments above. Having watched this thread with great interest. Recently, I spoke to MR about whether or not its possible to change the engine characteristics and to some degree the work involved to alter my Super Leggera. This would be in order to increase 'lower down grunt' and have more 'mid-range'. Say more similar to my 1098R and the answer was it could be tailored to be more 'usable' depending on whether it was for the "Road or Track" use. Therefore to me to be more 'rider friendly. As opposed to the huge Top-End Grunt that the Panigales have. Having owned an 1199s it is totally different to what I've been used too with the 1098R. So I am very interested to hear what Carl's comments/ feelings are with his bike now its been breathed on by MR. Irrespective whether I follow Carl's engine route and do something similar from that prospective is another question? Although Carl has had built an amazing bike, I'm not looking to make similar or the same changes in the same way. I like it the way it is and looks. However the engine side does interest me greatly and would be the 1 area I would think about. I wouldn't be looking to increase BHP from its current stats, Its more than i'll ever need and has enough. Different options will always be available to make bikes more 'Rider Friendly or more Usable', you just have to open your eyes and look beyond the forum.!.
so the answer to my question is ?? personally cant see the point of splashing out 55k on a bike ducati experts have built to send to be stripped to the bone to get u more bottom end, after all its easy to keep a panni spinning aroung the 9k mark on the road so cant see why you need low end power on a track ??? shoot me down
Why Mr :Grumpy:? Because we can :Mooning:. Who gives a flying fcuk about your comments ompus: git. Oh and what a great idea, now where's the Gatling Gun.!. :Brb: :Brb:
now now don't be bitchy, ompus: me ha you couldn't be more wrong that's why we don't fit in , my cocks oops wad is bigger than yours brigade,
