Im after a detailed wiring diagram for the 998. Basicaly ive managed to pull a couple of wires out the ecu plug..now cant figure which holes in the plug they go back in Any help most definatly appreciated.
I have a pdf copy of 998S workshop manual, not the greatest quality but legible and has wiring diagrams. Too large to email but I can upload to a file sharing site it it's of interest?
That would be good please mate...im really struggling to find a detailed diagram on the plugs. Could you not just screen shot the relevant pages and email?...may save you some time? All i need to know is what colour wires go in what holes on 1 of the plugs. Cheers,
These are the Pin Outs for the IAW59M. Use Bing Translate as it handles tech terms well. Unfortunately it doesn't ID the wire colours for you. http://www.ducteile.de/assets/files/dowloads/59M.pdf
If you need any wires with the correct pin fitted for the ECU connector then drop me a PM. I have loads from connectors I have dismantled.
Thanks mate, shame I didn't know that...I brought a box full of 6 looms the other day for connectors and bits.
Still struggling with this...can find anything acurate that shows the pinout wire colours. Internet seems to be full for 996 schematics! Manuals no good as the dont show the connector. I notice theres a post on the Ducatisportingclub forum form a guy call "skidlids" that has an attachement named "998 ecu pinout" however i cant view it as im not a member...ive tried 4 times today to register but for some rason wont let me. Could anyone thats a member put the attachemnt on here for me please? 998 ECU Connector Query - Ducati Sporting Club It maybe just what im looking for. Tom
It's just the same as the 'German' one I posted just in an excel file. There are no wire colours. What colour are the wires you have pulled out? I'm curious as to how you pulled the pins out as the ECU connector has a locking plate that prevents their removal. It's the yellow bit on the front of it. It needs to be pulled outwards before the pins can be extracted or inserted.
Im replacing the connector and instead of pulling them out one by one and switching over, i ragged 5 out at a time not thinking...now i have no idea where they go...thought it would be fairly easy to find out but clearly not Ill have a look what colour they are when im home and post a pic. I have numourous 999 looms, however the colours dont tally so cant even use that as a staarting block.
