took the wife to see "Fury" at the local cinema. After two hours, she wanted to know when Billy was going to make an appearance?
"You haven't listened to a word I've said" my wife told me tonight. It always seems like a strange way for her to start a conversation with me
Getting my bike mapped. I had to return in the dark, thru bath to M4 but could tell it was more civilised at lower throttles. Feels snappy now. In fact its snappy everywhere. I rode one bike in, and rode a totally new bike out. Chris is a nice fella and spent a whole lot of time. 9-4 full time and the bike felt great. Ive weaselled another day of work tues purely to take her for a blat in daylight. I have shit night vision and the lights are ....was quite blowey too. Riding through Bath in rush hour would have been a nightmare before, now its still no angel but it was a damn site better. Feathering is easier. Top marks for CJS. Plus 170 bhp is tidy and 97 bangers is always welcome. Louigi Moto is a great little shop. Rich & Rob are very hospitable and chatty, there were a lot of very nice bikes there. But it was the Myford 7 lathe that caught my eye. Chatting with Rich made me think. The lathe reminded me of something I love doing. Turning and milling. I'd quite like to refamiliarise myself and mess around with a lathe, especially a Myford. In a room of exotic bikes, the lathe gives me a boner. I'm a sad lonely bastard. The Hunter Rest Hotel was great. Great food, room and service. Plus he offered to let me put the bike in his garage overnight. I never asked. How good is that? 162 John, but Im not sure if that was a second run after a fettle or the original first run.
One of the few plus points about working nights, went out on the bike and made the most of the sunshine this afternoon, its up to 560 miles now, its 1st service beckons.
Got the bike on the trailer ready to drop off tomorrow with Focused Events. Next time I see it will be in Almeria in a couple of weeks.....just a bit excited!
Took 1198 out for a blat in sunshine. Fuck me she's quick. I used to think of her as a bit lazy but thumpy and nice. She feels like a right animal now, but also reasonably docile at low revs. I badly need an Oberon though. The 70mm's and Chris at CJS's handiwork has turned her into a right eager beaver. Plus she's so smooth with it. Feathering the power on is a peach. I cannot recommend Chris's work enough. Its like he's dotted all the i's and crossed all the T's. £456 well spent. In fact its a bargain. I really wish Louigi Moto was on my door step too. Rich is a proper enthusiast and is generous with his coffee and put up with me mooching around all day.
In Kuala Lumpur with my wife for a few days R&R, plus we went to watch the Moto GP in Sepang. Visited an awesome bookshop, had a mooch around and walked out with this.
Back at work with limited movement in the shoulder but managed to fit this over the last two days. Not much more before its finished. Steve
Most men would agree with you but I think a few women might disagree, broken fingernails opening the doors for one. Steve
Is it one of those "Take away kitchens" Y'know the ones with no cooker/hob, so you have to live on takeaways.
That's looking nice but where's the handles
Had to be a bloody Boobie-o-sapien to say it was nice and complain it wasn't finished!
Had to be a bloody Boobie-o-sapien to say it was nice and complain it wasn't finished!
I would be quite happy with no handles or cooker etc that way I would have to eat out and the kitchen would be spotless
