Anyone happen to know the NTN (or whoever) part numbers for the 916 etc swing arm bearings, both sides? Hoping source from my local bearing supplier rather than the silly Ducati prices. Cheers
For the pivot: 2520 (25x32x20) needle roller - 2 no. plus 2 seals 25x32x4 6005-2RS1/C3 (25x47x12) - 2 no. And if your doing the hub you want: SKF BAH-0062 (35x62x28) double row angular contact - 1 no. NK42/30A (42x52x30) needle roller - 1 no. plus seal 42x52x4 And I'm sure somebody will be along in a moment to say you can use two standard 6007 instead of the BAH-0062 but I wouldn't.....
Why is that ? The 2 single bearing set up was successfully used on the 748RS which involves much higher side loads racing and my guess Nelson is looking at a solution for his track bike not a road bike. This same subject was discussed at length on here some months ago because I was looking to do the same and I'm sure the instructions that were floating around on the internet on how to change the bearings made specific reference to a high mileage bike that showed no appreciable wear. If you are in any doubt you can get bearings with a better side load spec which are still a lot cheaper than buying the 1 piece bearing. I'm a year into track days on my 748R without issue and I'll re greae the assembly during the end of year routine service. Andy
I have disassemble a couple of hubs and found both a 1 and a 2 bearing configuration. Fvck me! When did I become so boring! :Muted:
sorry to hijack but I've recently stripped the rear hub. Slightly confused why the left hand side has two bearings where by the axle fits into the inner races and on the right hand side an open needle bearing? do you just pack the needle bearing with fresh grease and slide the axle back in?
