Vince Cox went round Redgate side saddle looking backwards at me when I did a Haslam track day there a few years ago. I cant tell you how belittling that is when you think youre giving it the beans. Next lap I thought I'd go faster and I narrowly missed the gravel and taught myself a lesson. I'm shit.
Wonder what spec it's going to be, Honda have said nothing re price or spec. When you think of the GP bikes spec this could blow your mind when compared to a road bike as we know it, it should have a seamless gear box of some form, who knows, multi axis gyro TC and much much more I'd guess. When you think at top level you can blow 100 grand on electronics you can see where the rumours may come from in regards to a 200 grand price tag. As for buying into history, is this not just that, like the D16? Will Ducati make another GP rep, prop will but when, maybe not again in our lifetimes so as time goes by the D16 will become very collectible, production bikes like the 848-1199 etc etc will never be collectible as made in such high numbers, and maybe they just aren't the great? My guess is no less that 75k and up to 250k, wide guess but hard to put a price on such a project, last time Honda were asked what budget they have on the RCV race bike the answer was simple, NONE, Honda said we have no budget and you can not put a price on winning, whatever it costs.
I reckon it wold be so easy for hondat to make the blade look like that rcv, they just then need to do something new with the motor...how about a v4 in there?
Its the chassis set up he has, sublime control on the brakes...and funny enough in superstock and endurance it does ok too Rules changing next year, more level playing feld and Honda back in BSB officially, so they will want to win..
Even if its 250,000 euro its a bargain for some. The car equivalent ie Bugatti Veyron or koenigsegg agera r will set you back over a million pounds sterling. So as long as its very limited in numbers then some would say its cheap as chips.
Honda RC213V-S revealed at last | MCN Well... “For the RC213V-S, a machine for public roads, the regions with sales planned are Europe, the U.S., Australia and Japan. The manufacturer's recommended prices (tax-inclusive) are set at €188,000 in Europe (Germany *1), ¥21,900,000 in Japan, A$244,000 in Australia, and US$184,000 in the U.S. I 'd rather spend that money on a Superlegera + D16RR + 1299S and a Hypermotard 821.
A superleggera on its own would be enough! Just read on visor down that the power is way down...fucking useless...and it looks shite.
Already been said but worth repeating, NR750 again. Overpriced ugly nonsense. The potential power will be so muted that you will wonder what your money went into.
From Bugsplat - "According to internet rumour, the sports kit will cost €12,000 (£8,680). Details of the kit are also revealed on the official site" "And, in the small print, the fitment of the sport kit voids the warranty. It’s quite likely that this is why the kit isn’t offered in America. The small print also mentions that the maintenance schedule and parts availability will be ‘significantly different’ from an ordinary bike’s." Ducati gave 3 years free servicing with the Desmo, Honda's own performance kit invalidates their warranty. :Wtf:
